A Christmas Dance Performance to Remember!

December 14, 2012

Caroline,

This evening was your very first stage dance performance! It was the Lifesong Dance Studio Christmas performance and the entire show was very good! I really had no idea what we were in for! Lifesong
stressed that this was NOT a recital and everyone performing wore the same Christmas T-shirt with some sort of tutu and tights. Lifesong did not want to take anything away from the Big Spring Recital but wanted to do something special for the Christmas Season.

The Christmas performance was at the King Opera house which was great. It is such a rich history and was the perfect place for a Christmas Dance Show! it was a packed house!!! Lifesong actually split up all of the classes and had one show at 5:45 and another beginning at 7:30 to hopefully accommodate everyone. It was insane how many people were there!! Mimi, Papa, Gigi, Pops, and EE all came to see your performance too!

Your class was the fourth class to Come on stage. And I believe it was combined with another class as well. You all came out and you stood off by yourself which was great because we had an excellent view of you! You did your entire dance and it was seriously adorable! Talked about having one proud Momma Katie and Daddy, you were a perfect little Dancer! Then at the end of the dance you blew a kiss to the audience! You were quite the little adorable entertainer!! We watched the rest of the show and after we waited in the lobby for you and then we had cookies and punch before we all headed over to Gigi and Pops for the Dance party Dinner! We had a wonderful evening all together! We are very lucky to have the amazing family we do! I am so Thankful for the times we are all together celebrating you and your accomplishments!

I love you!

Annual Children's Santa Party

December 11,2012

Caroline,

Today was the Annual children's Christmas party at Pops bank. You have been talking about going and having cookies and seeing Santa for weeks now!

We hurried around and got ready and then we ended up being a tad late because you needed to have a fit before we left the house. Once we got to the bank we hurried inside. We had cookies and punch and visited with everyone while we waited for Santa to call your name. Once he did you got up I'm his lap talked with him for a little while and he helped you unwrap your gift. You were so sad After you got off of Santa's lap and brought your gift to show us. You sadly said, I did not ask Santa to bring me a Repunzel doll and ask him for a shiny heart ring. ". After we explained that Santa was still going to stop by our house on Christmas Eve and leave you a gift possibly the shiny ring everything was good again. You were happy that Santa Thought to bring you a RepunZel doll after all.

We all had a great time at our fourth annual children's Santa party!!

I love you,
Momma Katie

A Strawberry Shortcake Halloween!

October 31, 2012

Happy Halloween Caroline!
You have been sick with Strep all week And I was hoping you would feel up to trick or treating a little! Guess what you were up for some Trick or Treating Fun!

Mimi came over with tons of Halloween treats for you. After checking out all of the goods it was time to transform I to Strawberry Shortcake! Miss. Teresa made your costume this year and it was perfect....Definitely Strawberry Shortcake with a Twist! she also made a berrykin Scarf for Hazel and a treat bag for you! I think all costumes should have coordinating trick or treat bags!

The weather was perfect for trick or treating! This year was your first year to actually go door to door trick or treating! You seem pretty excited and ready to go! So off we went! You did not say "Trick Or Treat!" All night. You just walked up to the houses or people sitting outside with your bag open! Thank goodness your costume was adorable and we have nice neighbors! I think it is a requirement to say "Trick or Treat" to get any candy! Ha! at least you said Thank you to al most everyone for your candy. We stopped by the "Halloween House" in our neighborhood! This was the coolest house and they were giving out glow sticks so you could see in your bag in the dark! these people live for Halloween!! we checked out the decorations people had in their yards at a couple of houses! After about six houses you were done! Then we headed back to the house to wait odor Papa Rick! While waiting you dis some major dancing to the Halloween music Daddy had playing! When Papa got there he gave you a special Halloween treat and watched you do some dancing! Then Mimi and Papa left to go home , they had a few other little trick or treaters coming to their house!

We loaded up and headed to Gigi and Pops for trick or treating! Their house was packed with kids in all kids of costumes! You decided you wanted to surprise trick or treat them so that is just what you did! You went creeping up the side walk and surprised EE while she was handing out candy!! Of course you were their favorite little trick or treater! They had special Halloween treat for you too! we had dinner over there and you gave out candy. Mostly we just visited and you played with all of your new stickers! It was a great Halloween!

Love you !

Weekend in Branson

October 20, 2012

This next morning we were up bright and early! We got ready and headed down for a surprisingly Delish Hotel breakfast! The we were off to Silver Dollar City!! We arrive at 8:30 and her were in the park before 9am! It was the perfect day to be at SDC! We started off at the Brown's Candy Store were they make candy!
We watched the candy ladies make black walnut brittle and then you decided you needed to go Salt Water Taffy shopping!
Of course you have never had Salt Water Taffy in our life and we don't do a lot of candy anyway. I can see how tempting it would be it is just fun to look at. You wanted the big prepackage bag of taffy. Daddy and I suggested you select your taffy from the taffy section of the store so you could get the flavors you wanted. You liked this idea, grabbed a basket and started tossing taffies in left and right! We left the store with a load of taffy! You immediately started eating them too and thought they were Yummy!
Then we just wondered on and out of the little shops. The Christmas store was a favorite! You loved the giant Santa's and all of the Christmas displays!
I found your 2012 christmas ornament too! After window shopping we went in search "Caroline Sized"rides. The first ride we came too Tom and Huck's River Blast. This was a ride we could all do together.
You loved getting to shoot the water canons at the targets, of course I was the only person to get shot back at on this ride.

Then we headed to ride the Frisco Song-Along Steam train and got to see all of Silver Dollar City, including the construction on the New wooden coaster that will be open next spring! You loved the train ride!

After the train ride we came back to the Treetop Fun houses and climbing nets. You went in this by yourself and loved it so much you went back through a second time!
We found the Lil Swings and this was the first ride we came to that you were tall enough to ride and you were the only kid in line to ride.
The ride attend put you in the little swing seat and told you to just start yelling if you wanted off. Well one rotation into it You started yelling, "let me off! Let me off!"
So the ride was stopped and off you got! Not A Fun ride! Ha! Then we went to ride Hugo and Mary's Carousel! This made you very happy, first you rode a bear, then a horse, then you and daddy rode in the carriage, and then one last ride on another horse!
This was definitely a highlight of the day! Next was Grandfather's Mansion. We all went through it together and then Daddy went with you a second time! It is so disorienting I had to sit out for the second time. Some nice lady told us about the petting area. I had no idea SDC had one! So we headed over to pet the goats, and the pony.
We finally made it to the area that had the little rides and you and I rode the Happy Frog ride together. You sat in the front and I sat in the back. You hated this ride! It was extremely hoppy and lots of up and down!
After the frog we went to the Ladybugs. The Ladybugs were a huge hit!! This ride was just your speed and you enjoyed riding them!
That was our last attraction at SDC! We headed back to the tram to take us to our parking lot you were passed out before we even got on the Tram! 7 hours of Silver Dollar City will so a girl in!
After a little resting at the hotel we got cleaned up and to dinner. Daddy Eric found us a neat place to eat in Hollister. It was called Mr. Gilberti's. Place.
Mama Gilberti who originally opened Uno's in Chicago came down to Branson and opened Mr. Golberti's and they still use the original recipes. It was Delish Chicago style pizza!
After dinner we went to Andy's froze custard for ice cream! you ate an entire Ice cream cone by yourself! It was good stuff! Then it was time to call it a night! A very Fun and Full day!!
Love,
Momma Katie
