Halloween Trilogy - Letter One

October 28, 2010

Sweet Caroline,

The beginning of Our Halloween Fun, I picked up your Costume today!!  It is perfectly magnificent!  I am so excited about this weekend, you will actually big enough to sort of Trick or Treat…..well at least take a treat from a bowl and put it into your treat bag!
So much love went into your costume.  Sarah at OleeO’s did an incredible job at bringing my Vision of your “Queen of Hearts” dress/tutu and Treat Bag to life.  The Crown piece Amanda made for you is just amazing and the “Crowning Glory” to top of your look! I am a little worried about what we will be doing for Next year and the years after that!  I think I may be setting myself up for many years of Wondrous Costumes!  I will worry about that later!

Love you forever and Always,
♥Mommy

Halloween Trilogy - Letter Three

October 31, 2010

Happy Halloween Sweet Caroline,

On Sunday which was Actually Halloween we Trick or Treated at Gigi and Pops!  They of course had Halloween treats for you too!  You went right in and when to the kitchen where poor Aunt E was sitting.  She was very very sick which ruined her entire weekend plans.  You shouted “E E” and went right up to her and laid your arms on her lap.  I think you broke her heart by doing this.  She cried because she could pick you up since she was so sick and did not want to pass on the sickness to you.  Then we stood outside and gave out treats to all of the Trick or Treaters that came by.  You wanted to go with every kid that came by! You are such a friendly little girl! Nonny and Poppy came by to see you in all of your Queen of Hearts Glory and they brought you a Halloween treat!  Payne and Gerald Skinner stopped by to see you and gave you a treat bag which we all enjoyed!

Halloween number two was a ton of fun!  We spent it with the entire family and I wouldn’t have it any other way! Caroline, you were the most Adorable “Queen of Hearts” I have and ever will see!

Love You A Bunch Baby Girl!

Halloween Trilogy - Letter Two

October 30, 2010

Happy Halloween Sweet Caroline,

Today, which is Saturday you and I got up early and we got you partially dressed up and headed to “Trick or Treat” at Best Buy and See Daddy!  We got there got you all the way dressed and you proceeded to have fit in the parking lot. You looked like a huge Pouty Puff! I think it was your way of taking on the True Character of the “Queen of Hearts.” It was an excellent interpretation!  You were adored by all at Best Buy and your Daddy was quite proud of you as he always is.

That Night we Trick or Treated out at Grammy and Papa Ricks! They had a Halloween treat and Card for you.  The Card played “Ghost Busters” when you opened it.  Pretty sure that was your Favorite part!  You danced and laughed with the card all night!   Drake and Ella came over and you all played with Grammy in the playroom.  I was happy they came; we don’t see them that often.  You proudly wore your entire costume head piece and all the entire night!  We had a wonderful Halloween evening!

I love you Precious Little Girl,
♥Mommy

October 30th....The day I found out

October 30, 2010

Sweet Caroline,

It was exactly two years ago on this very day that I found I was pregnant with you! This is truly the day where our journey together began and what a wonderful Journey it has been. It was ironic and shocking how we found out you were on your way! Let me just start from the beginning….This might be tad bit long.

I had two Miscarriages before I was pregnant with you and it took a very long time to get pregnant after the first pregnancy/miscarriage. As you can image I was thrilled to learn of both pregnancies. I actually waited an entire week and a half to tell Eric about the first one. It was Valentines Day 2007 when I told tell him that we were going to have a Baby! Sadly that pregnancy ended in a miscarriage at 12 weeks and I was devastated. Then 15 months later we found out we were pregnant again! I was positive that this pregnancy could not end in a miscarriage since that had already happened to us….how very wrong I was. At my 16 week appointment I was told that the Baby had no Heartbeat and I would need to have a D & C. I was crushed. Eric was incredible throughout the awful experience. After all of this my Dr. said she was going to call in a referral for me to Tulsa Fertility Clinic and that Dr. Blackwell was wonderful and could help me. All I had to do was call when I was ready and make the appointment.

Well, I finally called and made the appt for Friday October 30th. Then Eric and I were going to leave from there and head to Dallas for a little weekend trip. Dr. Blackwell was AMAZING! She sat down with us she went through my medical History; she walked us through a ton of information, and options. She restored my faith and I knew everything was going to be okay. I also had forty different Blood tests done and a physical done while there and that is when it was discovered that I had endometriosis and something that might possibly be a baby early in the first trimester! So I had one more blood test done….a pregnancy test to confirm or deny what was found. After a long day at Tulsa fertility Clinic we decided to head back home instead of going straight on to Dallas. We were almost home when I got the call….. “Congratulations! You are 5 weeks and 6 days along and everything looks healthy! We need to make you another appointment for two weeks from today!” I was completely unprepared for that bit of information. The only thing I could think was I am not ready to go through losing another baby again and is the for real?! So for the next 16 wks we made trips up to TFC evry two weeks! As you know by now this pregnancy resulted in a Beautiful Baby Girl. I now know if the bad had not happened I would not have you, My Sweet Sweet Caroline. God was just not quite finished making you perfect. You were absolutely worth the wait and I would do it all over again!

Babies are Truly Stardust Blown from the Hand of God.

I Love Forever and Always,
♥Mommy

October 24, 2010

Sweet Caroline,

This past Friday evening we went to James at The Mill for Dinner to celebrate Cousin Emily’s Birthday.  Her Family came done and we went up with Grammy and Papa Rick.  This was your Very First time to Dine at the Restaurant.  Your Uncle Walt is the Sous Chef at James At the Mill and was cooking up a storm when we arrived! The entire place was Completely Packed with people!  I have never seen it that full  in all of the times I have been there.  You were a very good Girl and enjoyed the food immensely!  Walt came out to see us for a few seconds and as we were leaving I was able to get a Picture of you with Walt to commemorate your first dinning experience at James at the Mill!

I Love you sweet Baby,
♥Mommy

October 23, 2010

My Dearest Sweet Caroline,

First, I would like to begin by saying I am a tad bit behind on the times and I do apologize for that.  Today is Saturday, October 23 and you are 69 weeks and 4 days old or 16 months old.....depending on how you look at it.  I plan to start from your beginning and today was the day I ultimately decided.  I wish so much I had started to write before you were born....better late than never I suppose.  You are such a Big Miracle in such a Little Girl.  These are my Letters to you of our many Adventures and Misaventures.

I love you to the moon and back,
Mommy
