Uncle Tom and Aunt Jeanne Pay us a Visit!

March 30 – April 1, 2012 Caroline! Tom and Jeanne came to see us the weekend!

The arrived in the evening on Friday with lots Gifts! I have to say they certainly do arrive in style! They brought you a basket full of all of animals from the zoo, the St. Louis zoo to be exact.

They also brought you an Easter Basket full of Goodies, but we are saving it for Easter Day! We visited for a bit and had a glass of Wine.

Later that evening we went over to Gigi and Pops’ house for a Birthday Dinner for Daddy Eric! Gigi and Pops thought it would be nice to celebrate Daddy Eric’s birthday while his Aunt and Uncle were in town. I know Daddy Eric had a wonderful time! The Next Day we got up and had a late breakfast. We visited, ate, and relaxed around the house until around noon. Eric and I had decided we wanted to take Tom and Jeanne up to The New Crystal Bridges Museum and to have dinner at Uncle Walt’s restaurant James at the Mills! Tom and Jeanne do so much for us, we wanted to try and do something special for them or introduce them to something they can’t get any where else but right her in NWA!. So the Museum and The Mill were just the perfect things! Let me just say WOW! Crystal Bridges is spectacular! Everything about it is breathtaking, from its wooded location to the architecture, to the pieces art that are housed inside! It is truly a treasure that we have right here in Arkansas and we will be going back especially when you are older and can appreciate it more. The Wonders portion of the museum was filled with fun and unique pieces that I really think you will enjoy looking at in just a few more years. Here are just of few of my favorites pieces:

"Alphabet in the Form of a Good Humor Bar"

All three of these peices were created from hand written words from the Rise and fall of the Roman Empire! AMAZING! After an afternoon at the Museum we headed over to James at the Mill for Dinner. This is one of my favorite places to eat! No only is the food AMAZING but your Uncle Walt is the Sous Chef there and he always does something special for us when we go! We started off with the Corn dog and Walt had Smoked Salmon appetizers and corn cake with Caviar prepared for us as a special treat! Dinner was fantastic! We order the Mac N Cheese for you! Seriously the best Mac N Cheese ever! Then we all ordered dessert and Uncle Walt made us all sorbet and he made you Warm Chocolate chip cookies and Milk! It was the most adorable cookies and milk I have ever seen. You loved that the milk was in a tiny cup just your size too! We had a Wonderful Evening! As a Matter of Fact our Entire Weekend was great! We always have such a great time when Tom and Jeanne come to visit! IT won’t be long before they are back for your Birthday!
