A Drive Thru Zoo! Who Knew !?!

April 28, 2012 Caroline, Today was Drive Thur Zoo Day! Peevy and I took you and Gracyn to the Gentry Drive Thru Safari! We got to the Peevy's and loaded up the car, stopped by Wal-Mart to get a picnic lunch! This our first time to visit at this zoo. Once we got there we let you and Gracyn ride up front with us since you only drive about 5 mph through the entire Safari! Emu's came right up to the car windows as we were driving through! We also got to see Monkeys, lions, tigers, bears, alligators, a hippo, a rhino ,and tons of deer and deer like animals! It pretty neat! After the driver thru, we headed to the pavilion for the picnic lunch. Once we were done with lunch the Peevy gave you and Gracyn each $1.00 to buy animal feed. Then we headed to the goat and pig pen! You went right in and started feeding the goats and the pigs. You love them! Then we went over to see the lemurs. These little animals were so cute and so much fun! There was a litle baby lemur who kept getting out of his cage and the mama lemur kept trying to grab him and pull him back in. We all had a fun watching the lemurs, especially you and Gracyn! Of Course we couldn't leave without riding the camel and ponies! You had been talking about riding the ponies since we got there and the Camel was a Bonus! You and Gracyn loved the rides! You rode on Thunder the Pony and Grany rode on Lightening! Then you both rode Jewel the Camel together and you kept asking why the camel had a towel on for the whole ride! All in All in was a Very Fun day! I Love you Very Much! Momma Katie

Happy 34 Months!

April 23, 2012 Caroline, Today you are 34 Months Old! You currently weigh 27lbs and 8 ounces and you are 36 inches tall! You have gotten taller but haven't gained any weight this month. I cannot believe you will be A Big 3 Year Old in just two months!

Here lately you have starting asking me what certain phase mean. This normally happen when I say something and then you will ask me, “Momma, what do you mean be said phrase?” For example you wanted to know what “Wishing someone Good Luck” Meant. It was sort of difficult to explain something like this to you….I had to really think about how to explain it and I am not sure I did a very good job! I am sure this is just the beginning of your questions that I will really have to put a little thought into. Another thing you are doing now is constantly asking “Why?” It does not matter what I say you immediately ask “Why?” The Song of the Month is “Mr. Golden Sun!” I love hearing you sing this song! You have preformed this tune everyday on the way to School for several weeks now! I never get tired of hearing you sing! It makes my heart happy! A Big Milestone is that you have been given the responsibility of feeding Hazel! This is your very first Official Responsibility that you have been given. I know it makes you feel happy to take care of Hazel and it makes me very proud! Happy 34 Months!!! I LOVE, LOVE you! ♥ Momma Katie

Happy Birthday Mimi and The Hobson Spring Carnival!

April 20, 2012 Caroline! Today was Mimi's Birthday and the Hobson HoDown Spring Carnival! We invited Mimi and Papa to come to your Spring Carnival with us and after that we were taking Mimi out to West End Park for Her Birthday Celebration! I picked you early from school so we would have time to run home get cleaned up and meet Mimi and Papa before heading to the Carnival. Once Mimi and Papa arrived to our house we loaded up and headed to the Carnival. The Carnival had a great turn out! It was packed when we got there and you were overwhelmed and did not want to get down and do anything. We first walked around and looked at all of th boths. Then you decided to wanted to go to the booth Mrs. Peters was working which was pin the Badge on the Sheriff! You really liked this game I am sure it is because Mrs. Peters was working it, She is your most favorite teacher! She does so SO much for you!

You really did not want to get down and do any of the booths, there were so many of them too! With some coxing you played the duck game,

did a little go fishing and ring toss with Daddy,

and you did some Cowboy Coloring!

You were very Excited about the Hot Dogs and chowed down on one!

We decided to stay for the Ipad Drawing. Daddy Eric and Best Buy donated the Ipad for the drawing and I won it! Pretty Exciting because you and I not longer have to share an Ipad, we each have our own! Then we headed over to West End Park to celebrate Mimi's Birthday! It was a seriouly Chilly night for Ferris Wheel and Merri-go-round riding but we still had a great time! First we had Dinner at the Boomerang Diner in the Train Car! We brought a Birthday Cake for Mimi! You helped pick out how it would be decorated! I must say it turned out beautiful and it was very yummy!

Then we gave Mimi her present! We got her some Kindle accessories to go with her New Kindle Fire that Papa got her! What a great Birthday gift! Papa did good!

We ending the night with a few very chilly rides on the ferris wheel and the Merri - Go - Round! FIrst you and Mimi rode tihe horses on the Merri-go-Round!

Then you and Mimi rode again only this time you rode in the spinning Seat on the Merri-go-round. You were spining that thing around and around! I wish I had gotten a picture of this! It was pretty funny! We had a great evening celebrating with Mimi and a fun time at your Carnival! I love you! Momma Katie

Discovering West End Park!

April 14, 2012 Caroline! After all of the Dinosuar fun we headed over to West End Park! I was very excited about taking you because I just knew you were going to love it and I was right! We we walked in you were beside yourself with excitement to ride the ferris wheel and the Merri-go-round! First we had dinner at the Boomarang Diner, which is in a restored Pullman railcar. The food was tasty and it is just a neat place to go! Your Dinner actually came in an old vintage car! It was pretty cute! After we ate we headed outside to ride the rides! You were ready to get your tickets and hop on! We all rode the Ferris Wheel together! It was a pretty long ride too! I think you and I enjoyed more than Daddy did becasue we rode again by ourselves! This was fun becasue we could see "Tiny Daddy" down on the ground and you loved this! We would wave everytime we would come around and see him! The Ferris Wheel is really a pretty neat thing that we have right here in our back yard so to speak! It is an iconic 56-foot Ferris wheel that was featured in the 1935 World's Fair! That is neat! After two times around on the Ferris wheel we headed over to ride the Merri-go-round! You had so much fun! You rode this twice too! The park's carousel, built and hand-painted in Treviso, Italy! IT is really beautful and fun to ride! All of the horses have real tails of hair! You really liked that too! We had a wonderful evening at West End Park! There is truly something a little bit magical about that place! I love you sweet Girl! Momma Katie

Discover the Dinosaurs!

April 14, 2012 Caroline, Today we went to the Discover the Dinosaurs exhibit! I saw that this exibit was coming to town and knew we needed to go! You love Dinosaurs and have since before Christmas! Your Specifically asked Santa for A Dinosaur! I mean you really have a love for them! Luckily Eric was off this weekend and we got to go as a family! The first part of the expo consisted of animatronics dinosaurs. Where we could read about that specific dinosaur then push buttons to make it move and roar. You loved pushing the buttons and making the Dinosaurs move! While we were there we ran into the Thomas Family! Actually they stopped by the our houese before heading over for their own Dinosuar adventure! As always you and Gracyn were thrilled to see each and were able to do a some of the fun activites together! This was the Dino Dig! Which was pretty neat. You got to be a Jr. paleontologist and discover Dinosaur Fossils! You and Daddy really enjoyed this activity together! THen for the Best Part of the whole exhibit as far as you were concerned A Ride on T-Rex! We stood in line with the Thomas' to ride the t-rex! You and Gracyn were pretty excited about this! You sat on Daddy Eric's shoulders while we waited in line! \ We had a Wonderful time Discovering the Dinosaurs! I Love you! Momma Katie

Happy Easter

April 7 – 8, 2012 Happy East Caroline!

I have been looking forward to our little Easter Weekend! This was your first year to Dye Easter Eggs! So I decided we would have a Little Bunz Easter Egg Dying Party! Daddy grilled out for us! Then we had a deliciousBunny Cake for Dessert!

You can’t have an Easter Celebration with out a Bunny Cake!!!! We all did the Easter Eggs together and it was so much fun! I have to say you and Daddy Eric are seriously good Egg Dyers! I actually got us a couple of different dyes.

We had the traditional egg dye and then I also picked up some tie dye sponge painting dye kit and these really neat markets that you can use to decorate your eggs once they are dyed!

Our eggs turned beautiful! Next Year I will be sure to buy 3 cartons of eggs instead of 2! 24 eggs just didn’t cut it! The Next Morning we got ready for Easter Service and headed out the door!

It is important to embrace the true meaning of Easter and celebration Christ’s Resurrection. Easter Service was wonderful. Caroline, you were extremely well behaved and you really enjoyed that your Mimi was singing in the Choir and that you could see her up on the Choir Stage.

After Church we headed back home to see if the Easter Bunny had been by yet! Sure Enough he did stop by and left you lots of Easter Goodies! You went through your Easter Baskets and then took your Bike on a spin through the house!

Then it was time to Meet Gigi and Pops for Easter Brunch at Emmy’s! We had a a wonderful Easter Brunch and eat way too much!

After Brunch we headed back home to change out of our Sunday clothes and we headed over to Mimi and Papa's for more Easter Fun! Mimi and Papa had Real Easter Chicks and a basket full of Easter Treats for you when we arrived!

Drake, Ella, and Isaac arrived shortly after we did and you all had a big Easter Egg Hunt!

Then is was time to sit down for Easter Dinner! What a Wonderful Easter Day we had with all of the Family! We are certainly blessed to have the Family that we Do! I Love you,Momma Katie
