3 year Well Baby Checkup!

Caroline,
Today you are 3 Years Old Well Child Check up. I believe this will be that last of the monthly growing updates. somehow I missed your 35 month update, I am sorry about that.

Things were all good until Dr. Fred’s Nurse looked at you wrong and possibly said something terrifying to you, I don’t really know. You dissolved into tears and did not want the nurse to check your height or weight or come anywhere near you!. So between the three of us we did our best to get accurate measure! You currently weigh 29 pounds and 4 ounces (25%percentile) with your clothes and Twinkle Toes sketchers on! The nurse laughed and said, “You will just have to remember that she was fully clothed and shoed for the weigh in.” This is the reason I am jotting it down! You are currently 37 ½” inches (50% percentile) tall with your Shoes on!

After this the nurse left and you calmed down you began preparing a musical snack for Dr. Fred! You decided to bring your Guitar to your check up! Of course Dr. Fred loved that! He checked you out and visited with us for a while! He said you a Perfectly Smart Little 3 year old! He did notice that we some how missed a vaccination so we did have to do that while we were there. The Shot and the Nurse were the only bad things about your 3 year check up! All in all I’d say in was an eventful trip to see Dr. Fred!

Happy 3rd Birthday Caroline!

Happy Birthday Caroline,

Today you are 3 Years Old! I cannot believe you ARE A Big 3 Year Old today! I am so beyond blessed to have shared these past three years of your precious Life!

Today we started your Birthday with a little Ballet and Tap!

We went to Dance you decided you were NOT going to dance at all which of course was a tad bit frustrating to me but it was YOUR Birthday and “YOU will DANCE IF YOU WANT TOO!” Or not. SO we left and headed down the street for lunch. A Little Birthday Burger and Fries were requested by Birthday Girl. Lots of people stopped by our table to wish you a Happy Birthday! After Lunch we headed home to get things All ready for your Birthday Party!

This year I decided to do a Small Party for just our closest Family. I still wanted it to have a few special touches even though it was a little party! We had a “Caroline’s Kitchen!”

Birthday Party for you and all of our closest and favorite people were there to celebrate with you! The best part was that you got to share your special day with your very best friend, Gracyn!

Like I said I wanted this party to be a Small intimate affair mostly so that you could really enjoy your day with you special Friend and the rest of us were able to enjoy it with you! After everyone arrived we all ate a pretty delicious meal of Honey Baked Catered Sandwiches and dips galore it was time to begin the Birthday festivities! You and Gracyn put on your cute little Kitchen Party Aprons and sat down to do a little cake decorating at the cutest “Little Kitchen Table!”

It was a lot of funs watching the two of you create your cake masterpieces!

After the Cake decorating extravaganza it was time to Sing “Happy Birthday!” We all did such a great job singing you requested that we sing it to you again!

Then we all enjoyed your delicious Kitchen Cake and Freshed Baked Cookies from “Caroline’s Kitchen! Sweet Boutique and Great American Cookie never disappoint!

After all of the sweets it was time for you to open all of your Birthday Gifts! You received so many wonderful gifts: A special charm bracelet and charm for Gracyn, Art supplies from Kaylon and Jen, Beach Bag, Towel, and Tervis from Tom and Jeanne, Sandwich set and vacuum for Mimi and Papa, Cupcake set from Gigi and Pops, a matching Game from Clint and Peevy. Last but not least We got you a Kitchen for your birthday!

Very Fitting since this was Caroline’s Kitchen Party! You loved your New Kitchen and went right to playing in it! You and Gracyn played in it all night long! It is the perfect Kitchen for two little Cooks! It was a Wonderful Day Shared with the People Who love you most!

She is a Big Girl Now!

June 10, 2012 Well Caroline! I believe you are now a Big Girl and using the Potty! This has been a very long and struggly road for me, not so much you! Everyone will tell you and everything you read tells you that children will potty train when they are ready. Well I have been patiently waiting and paying very close attention to you for any sort of sign. Nothing no sign...well, I guess that is not exactly true, You have been telling me for some time that you would use the potty when you turned three! It is very hard knowing how extremely smart you are and seeing every other child that we know happily trying to or in fact using the potty and you COMPLETELY refusing to have anything to do with it! So last Saturday we had a little party for you as a way to mark the end of all diapers and pull ups! At 5:00 pm I took every diaper/pull up out of our house. I decided it was time and knew it was going to be HARD, panties 24/7.....well it is not like I really had much choice I had to something and I knew it was going to have to be extreme! You are so strong willed. I know this quality will serve you well later in life but for potty training it has been a nightmare! The funny thing is that NOT once have a been the least bit concerned with bedtime or naptimes, it is the AWAKE TIME that is frightenly concerning. The first several days were horrible and it definitly took a village to make a few tiny tiny steps in the right direction but we did it and thing have been improving by leaps and bounds! Sunday: Would have nothing to do with the Potty, major fits, Monday: Nothing to Do with Potty, major fits, Tuesday:Nothing to Do with Potty, major fits, Wednesday: Sat on Potty at Mimi's, and tinkled in the Potty at Home! Thursday: Sat on the Potty for Gigi and tinkled in the Potty at Home! Friday: well it wasn't your best day a few accidents at Gigi's, tickled in the Potty at home, Saturday: Sat on the Potty every hour, tinked in the Potty twice! No Accidents! Sunday: Sat on the Potty every hour and a half and here is the most amazing part of all You actually went to the potty all by your self when you need to tinkle! I didn't even know you were in there until I heard you yelling "Mommy I peed peed in the potty!' and then you did that exact same thing for a poo poo! You went to the potty all by yourself! You are well on your way to Potty Perfection! |am just SO Very Proud of You, Caroline!!!! This is certainly a very big deal! I am truly amazed at how you have practially done a 180 in exactly a ONE week. You also have a bladder of steel which is sort of a blessing and a potty training curse all at the same time, however we are taking care of "business" and you are doing fantastic! Your are earning those stickers, cookies, and Dora's that is for Sure! I love you my Big Little Girl! Momma Katie!
