31 Months!

Caroline!
You are 31 Months old or 2 ½ years and 1 month! Your currently weigh 27 lbs even and you are still 35 ½ inches tall. You haven’t grown taller this month just stayed the same!

At 31 Months:
We made a big step forward in potty training this month! You are wearing Big Girl Panties part time! By this I mean half of the day you are wearing panties and the other Pull ups! Now this being said we have made no further progress, but I know you will get there when you are ready. I am just hoping it is by age 3 you got this potty thing mastered!!

You have several new phrases words that you started using this month!
“Hey Momma, What Time is it? It’s Time to Dance! It’s Time to Dance!”
This cracked Mimi and I up the first time we heard you says this and it was completely out of the blue!

You have graduated from saying
“ Momma hold you” to “ Momma hold me” this is was sad and exciting all at the same time. It is just another reminder that you are growing up and constantly learning. It is truly amazing to watch you learn and understand new things.

You now say “I appreciate it” often paired with “Thank you” It makes me proud to hear you begin to say things like this and it also amazing me because that is a big word! But you are a very smart Little girl! Still Amazing….

You have a few New Spanish Words–
Agua!
Mexico!
Pinata!
You have been studying the Country of Mexico at School! You told me exactly how a Pinata works too and you made one at School! I love when you tell me about the things you are learning!

You love having your toe nails painted! EE has become your personal pedicurist! And every Wednesday here lately you have requested a new color! Luckily she has like 500 to choose from!


New Foods you have discovered and love!
Edamame! Holy Moly…You devour these beans! EE got you hook on them! They have now become a staple in our home! I mean it is the perfect snack for you and me! They are tasty, SUPER healthy, High Fiber and Low Iron! Exactly what you need and you LOVE THEM!!! This makes me A very Happy Mommy!

Cornbread! We done have cornbread very often I really don’t know why either. It is delish! We had vegetable soup and cornbread the other night after we had all sorted to recover from a viscous stomach bug! The Cornbread was the only part of that meal you ate! You had two pieces and then another for breakfast the next morning!

We will be adding that as a regular item to the grocery list!

Your Daddy and I also put a playroom together for you this month! We finally decided it was time to give you a place to play and give Daddy back his man cave and regain a toy free living room! I have to say your playroom is pretty darn cute and you love having your own play space! It was definitely a win win for everyone!

A Carnival and A Post Holiday Get Together

Oh Caroline,

You had a Fun and Busy weekend! Girl, your entire weekend was booked up now that I am thinking about it!
Friday Night you went with Pops and Gigi to cheer on the Van Buren Pointer Basketball team! You had been asking Gigi to go for a while and this was their first home game! You had a great time and from what I heard you were a perfect Angel too!

Saturday was our BIG weekend day! We went to Drake’s 6th Birthday party in Charleston. He had a Carnival Birthday party! It was really cute and there were twelve different carnival booths where you got to play games and win tickets! I am listing all of the booths because I really thought they were pretty neat!

Papa was working the Basketball throw booth and that was your first game to play and then the last game you played! You played every game all by yourself and had a great time winning tons of tickets! You also got a carnival prize too! Yours was a little modeling clay sheep set, we have yet to make this but I am sure we will! Then you got to go to the ticket booth and turn in your tickets for a sack full of prizes! It was great Carnival Party and you had a blast!!!!

After the Birthday Party we headed up to Fayetteville so that you and Gracyn could have your Christmas Celebration together and it was also the 3rd annual White Elephant Post Holiday Party too! When we got to Clint, Peevy, and Gracyn’s you were asleep and it took you a little while to wake up but once you did you were very happy to see your BFF Gracyn! Peevy and I had you both sit down in the living room to open your gifts! We like to get you both the same thing and I expect we will do this for as long as we can get away with it! You were both super excited to get presents!!! Peevy got you both the most adorable Pillows I have ever seen! They each had a little girl on them with your names! Yours was a periwinkle blue with browned headed, blue eyed little girl and Gracyn’s was a soft pink with a blonde haired Brown eyed little girl!

Then she also got you both these little shirt BFF shirts with two little girls on them. Gracyn had already open hers and she immediately said it was “Gracyn and Caroline” and picked which one was which one the shirt! Then when you opened yours you also picked which girl was which on the shirt and they were the same as what Gracyn had picked! Funny that you both can tell who’s who on that little shirt! Just another sweet thing about the two of you!

Last but not least I got you both the cutest little Elephant cross body bags filled with little goodies, Sippy cups, animal bracelets, and tiny toys! The straps are a tad long but they can be tied up for now and you with both grow into them. I figured you all could take them on our Beach vacation this coming summer!

After all of the exciting present opening we all left to go to the 3rd Annual Post Holiday Party at Chris and Hannah’s house! You and Gracyn were the only two children there and you were both perfect for the entire evening! You got to see and pet their cats Dexter and Minnie Mouse! Oh Caroline, you loved those kitties! One of them attacked your hand and you just laughed out loud and slapped it on the head! We all ate and enjoyed good company and the opening of the worst gifts ever! This is always the highlight of the evening! This year I got the ugliest Christmas Floral Arrangement you have ever seen! Some else got the watering can that Peevy brought and you and Gracyn got a hold of it and watered the floral arrangement for the rest of the evening!

It was pretty hilarious and the arrangement filled with water accidentally got left at Chris and Hannahs! Oops! We all had a Wonderful day and evening!

On Sunday EE came and got you for an afternoon treat!

You all went to the movies to see Beauty and Beast in 3D! After an hour of the movie you said you were done! And she brought you home! I think the two of you had a good time! And what a great way to end a Great weekend!

Happy New Year's Eve Caroline!

Tonight we went over to Pops and Gigi's for the New Year's Eve Party/30th Birthday Party for Me! Yep we are still celebrating my Birthday! Today we straightened your hair...I figured if other people could do it so could we! Your response to your straight hair was, " Ohhh It looks SO Long, like Repunzel!" A New Do to ring in the New Year!

New Years Eve is always Fun! We eat lots of good food, Play Games, and of course Celebrate my Birthday! I had a Delicious Chocolate cake and I got the most amazing PJ Harlow lounge wear! I do believe this lounge wear is the absolute most luxious thing I have ever worn. I am now addicted.

Well you actually got to stay up and ring in the new year! I figured if you wanted to stay up and you were in a happy mood, why not, it only happens once a year! Happy New Year Sweet Girl! I hope this year is filled with blessing galore!
